Whispers in the rain | A Dunedin Streetscape | Sharon Murcott

Sharon is an Oamaru based artist and hash always had a love of drawing, she first picked up a paintbrush at the age of 16. What she loves about water colour is that you are never quite sure what’s going to happen, sometimes the parts that almost paint themselves are the best part in the painting! They are so unpredictable and while I have some successes, I also have a few failures, but when they do work it is pretty exciting.

Sharons says her works capture everyday kind of moments and feelings, not always a pretty picture but hopefully a painting with atmosphere and a bit of excitement so that the viewer enjoys looking into it. 

Over the years Sharons work has been exhibited in many shows.
